Target Audience
This workshop is available to Physicians (MD), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Practical Nurses (RPN), and Respiratory Therapists (RT's) who are licensed in Ontario, Canada. This biostimulator training is centered around advanced injection techniques and is reserved for injectors with a minimum of six months of experience with dermal fillers.
As we age our collagen production decreases and results in the development of facial wrinkles, loose skin, loss of facial volume, as well as deep facial folds. PLLA (PolyLactic Acid) and CaHa (Calcium Hydroxylapetit) works to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds due to its bio-stimulatory effect providing a refined, more youthful looking appearance.
In the course we will cover the most popular Biostimulator treatments including Radiesse (CaHa) and Sculptra (PLLA). We discuss and use product with a variety of various ratios of hyperdilute and its best practices including mixing HA and CaHA.
This one-day collaborative hands-on workshop will provide a morning didactic overview of history, chemical and biological properties, biodegradation, facial anatomy and physiology, facial aging, appropriate selection of indications for treatment. We will cover the most popular face and body treatments with biostimulators!
During the didactic portion of this course, students will learn the difference between Sculptra and Radiesse and dive deep into the science behind the biostimulation of each injectable product. During the hands-on training you will perform treatments under supervision of our Seamless Health team.
