We’re beyond excited to welcome back Dr. Steven Harris, bringing his Ultrasound Mastery and his groundbreaking Nonsurgical Lip Tubercle (NLT) technique to our clinic along with pearls on advanced facial reshaping skills avoiding alienization and providing natural results.
Dr. Harris follows a ‘less is more’ philosophy, prioritizing natural-looking results that enhance balance and aesthetics. His approach has earned praise from both patients and industry peers, solidifying his reputation for excellence.
Ultrasound Use in Facial Aesthetics
We will be offering a FULL DAY course wherein you learn the basics of ultrasound for safe injection practices. Dr. Harris will show you the basics of ultrasound with a focus on practical applications and how to apply this powerful modality that can help minimize complications. You will leave with a general understanding of:
-Differentiating fat, vessels, and bone appearance on ultrasound
-How to hold and visualize using a handheld ultrasound
-Targeting structures with a needle and a cannula on ultrasound using phantoms (animal/silicone models)
-Vascular mapping for filler injections
This is a FULL day of training with hands-on experience with a Clarius ultrasound device. If you do not have a device, a Clarius L15 and L20 or alternate will be provided for your use for the day. Space will be very limited.
FAQ'S:
Do I need to have any experience with Ultrasound?
No. We will get you up and running and ready to start incorporating simple and easy-to-understand techniques so that you feel comfortable with using a device in your practice.
Will I really use ultrasound every day if I get one?
We hope so! The focus in our full-day course is to incorporate 5 minute techniques to keep you out of trouble and prevent complications. If you are using it everyday, it will be easier to find and manage complications.
Will I be practicing live injections on people?
We will be practicing live visualization of needles and cannulas on a human model. We will not be injecting anything as the focus will be on developing the techniques you need to do live-guided ultrasound injections.
How many people are in your course?
We cap the course at 8 people. It is a very personalized experience where you will get a lot of practice doing the injections and facial areas you are most interested in. We would rather a small group where everyone feels confident in ultrasound rather than a big group where many leave underprepared.
I already have some exposure to ultrasound. Do I really need an aesthetic training?
Yes! You will be able to use your background as an advantage for sure, but getting the knack of the smaller footprint and techniques in the face will take a bit of time to get the hang of. We will show you some simple practices.

Hands-On experience using Ultrasound
In a very personalized approach, each injector will get practice doing whatever injections they would like with supervised ultrasound guidance and/or mapping with their own patient model who will be provided and arranged by the course. We will advise you with best ultrasound practices for each injection site.
NLT Technique 3-5pm
This revolutionary approach is the only technique in the world that categorizes 16 distinct lip types, allowing injectors to preserve natural lip anatomy while enhancing shape and function - no overfilled or unnatural results here. This will include a demo treatment using the NLT technique.
